welcome to my third edition of "currently" where I'm linked-up with A Mama Collective to share a tidbit or 2 about my life as it is today.
watching// my little girl grow up faster than I anticipated. I think she's still going to wait a bit before she starts walking, thank goodness, but she is taking steps with her walker now and I just can't. even. believe it. where did my newborn bundle go?? I'm not ready for this and it's happening without my permission! any other mamas going through this season of being brand-new at watching time fly by while you're desperately trying to freeze it? I'm not sure I'll ever truly get used to it, but I've never experienced such joy and anxiety at the same time...wait, that's a definition of parenthood isn't it? "a state of experiencing overwhelming joy, fear, bliss, anger, excitement, anxiety, anticipation, frustration and love all simultaneously for the duration of the rest of your life."thankful for// my husband's 2-day weekend! for the past year + a half his job has required him to work long days, 6 days a week with very few exceptions, so having him him both Sunday AND Monday this week has been a huge blessing and Madelynn has been overjoyed to be getting so much extra daddy-time! photo by Kristiane Webb
editing// a birth, a newborn, a 6-month-old, a 1-year-old, a family + a bride.
multitasking// my girl woke up from her nap as I finished up this post and I learned that it's not only possible, but really easy to nurse her while typing on my laptop. this is the most accomplished with breastfeeding I've ever felt!
working on// lots of home improvement/decor projects! I have a million DIYs in my queue and am finally making a few happen, one step at a time.
also, on my character. my post-long-day-with-a-cranky-baby attitude. the way I love my husband. the way I steward my gifts + finances. like my girl learning to walk with some assistance & encouragement, I am learning to take small steps with the Lord as my guide. though, in my case, I'll never learn to walk alone. I'll never need to.
what are you thankful for this week? got any fun projects in-progress?
